Commercial Leasing Associate

  • Job Functions:

    Regent Properties is seeking a highly motivated, hard-working, Commercial Leasing Associate to support ongoing leasing functions for a portfolio of commercial assets. The Leasing Associate will be part of the asset management team supporting several transactional and procedural functions including responding to LOI’s, tracking transactions to maintain deal progression, monitoring expirations, joining tours with prospects and representing ownership, underwriting potential leases, and assisting in various ad hoc assignments. The position will report directly to Head of Asset Management.   

  • Day-to-day work includes:

    • Coordination between tenants, personnel, counsel, consultants and brokers to negotiate, prepare and review leases and related documents, amendments, renewals, extensions, licenses, terminations, subleases, lessor consents, right-of-first-offer & right-of-first-refusal notices, cell tower agreements, etc.Maintain organized and updated leasing files and records.
    • Review, summarize, and make recommendations on potential leasing opportunities which include an underwriting of the economics for the proposed deal.
    • Monitor the competitive set and make recommendations to team with regards to potential strategic pivots that need to be made at the project or space to remain competitive.
    • Assist with other projects as assigned by Head of Asset Management to meet business needs.
  • Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university required (or equivalent experience).
    • A minimum of one to three years’ experience in brokerage, leasing, or real estate transactional experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of co-star, VTS (View the Space), MRI, or similar ERP systems a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, MRI, and other commercial real estate software programs strongly desired.
    • Ability to read and interpret commercial leases with the ability to discern areas of risk that require escalation prior to approval.
    • Professional with exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Candidate must be detailed oriented, able to multi-task, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness and desire to travel.
