Centered in the heart of Westwood Village in Los Angeles, California is the Westwood Marketplace, an urban infill project redeveloped by Regent. Formerly an outdated movie theater and adjacent retail lots, the property was entitled for a new 26,000 square foot prototype Whole Foods Market, built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The project also included restaurants, an art house movie theater and multi-level parking. Completed in 2003, the Westwood Marketplace project received a Gold Nugget award for best rehabilitation for commercial or industrial project.
